Black Denim

The Monk jacket was a new form introduced for Fall 2020 that draws on both military and monastic codes. Cut in the shape of a double-zip anorak, it replaces the zippers usually found at one side of the body and upper chest with tied closures. The stand collar's edges draw from sharp western geometries, a consistent Kozaburo design staple, and are closed with brand signature double 'cracked' buttons on each side. The jacket features a flap-closed drop pocket at the sternum and welted-entry kangaroo pocket at lower waist.

The shape is boxy, with sleeves that are cut with single pleat articulation at the inner elbow and buttoned cuffs. Cut in the season's new 1% elastane overdyed black denim and fully lined in wool-blend flannel for coziness and warmth. Trims at neck and hem are a soft cotton gridded corduroy.
